TMC offers services not only to members of the press coming to Tokyo, but also to those working from their home countries, a great opportunity to cover the Games and the city online, regardless of the distance. Advantages of the TMC online service


Web TMC will be your home for various information during the Games, including photos, videos, data from Tokyo and more.


TMC Bulletins will update you twice a day on what’s happening in Tokyo during the Games.


TMC briefings will broadcast live daily Tokyo Metropolitan Government briefings. You can ask the officials questions. They are scheduled from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Japanese Standard Time (JST), July 23 to August 8, and August 24 to September 5, 2021.


TMC Interviews will video broadcast daily live presentations and recorded messages by Governor Koike and / or world leaders from various fields such as sports, culture and urban development. The main theme will be the future of Tokyo. You can ask questions of the speakers through online tools. More details on the TMC Talks will be announced shortly. They are scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. JST, from July 21 to August 8 and from August 23 to September 5, 2021.

About Tokyo Media Center (TMC)
The Tokyo Media Center (TMC) was set up by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to serve as a media coverage base for national and international media during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The TMC provides information about the host city Tokyo as well as the Tokyo 2020 Games. It is totally separate from the Main Press Center (MPC) and International Broadcasting Center (IBC), which are managed by the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee.

Monday, August 23, 2021 to Sunday, September 5, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., JST

* A pre-opening is scheduled for Monday July 19 and Tuesday July 20. Details will be announced separately.

Around 120 places available to create a working environment for journalists.

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) will have booths to promote different regions and traditional culture of Japan.

The National Tax Agency (NTA) will have a booth to showcase Japanese spirits.
