Township of Brady, Pennsylvania – Three teenagers were injured, two of them seriously in an accident in Brady Township recently.
DuBois State Police said this happened just before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13 near the intersection of the Behringer Freeway (Route 322) and Watson Freeway in Brady Township , in Clearfield County.
A 16-year-old Punxsutawney driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse attempted to turn onto Watson Highway but did not yield to an oncoming vehicle, driven by Brian Eckert, 30, of DuBois.
Eckert was unable to avoid the crash and hit the side of the teenager’s vehicle, who in turn pushed her vehicle into another car that was waiting at the stop sign, along with Renee Smeal, 58, of Clearfield at the wheel. Everyone involved was wearing their seat belts.
The 16-year-old Punxsy was seriously injured. On top of that, her front passenger, a 16-year-old girl from Clearfield, was also seriously injured. Jonathan Albright, 18, of Osceola, was also a passenger and suffered minor injuries.
Everyone in this vehicle was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois.
