Sponsors Wanted for Faith Radio Golf Tournament

There’s still time to help sponsor the 23rd Annual Faith Radio Golf Tournament scheduled for September 20 at Wynlakes Golf and Country Club.

To become a sponsor, go to Faithradio.org/faith-radio-golf-tournament.

“It’s hard to believe this is the 23rd year of this tournament, which has become one of the most important golf tournaments for our community,” said Billy Irvin, ministry relations director for Faith Radio. “I don’t think we’ve ever seen that continue to grow after 20 years. But just like our ministry, we continue to grow as hospitals have added us to their in-room media and as our Dothan area grows as well. Of course, our message is the same, that Jesus loves you. He is pursuing a relationship with you, and you can definitely grow your faith by tuning into Faith Radio 89.1 FM.

Irvin said the tournament has room for more sponsors, although the limit of 200 golfers has been reached. A waiting list for additional players has been established. Morning flight starts at 7:30 am followed by afternoon game at 12:45 pm

“One unique thing one of our sponsors shared with me last year was that a Faith Radio Golf Tournament sponsorship is great value at $750 because you are actually supporting two separate tournaments on Tuesday the 20th. September, because we have a morning tournament and an afternoon tournament,” said Irvin.

Irvin said research shows more than 80% of Americans still listen to the radio every week. He said ministries like WLBF are key to offsetting other programs consumed by Americans.

“Every day dirt is pumped over the airwaves and cables into the minds of consumers. Amidst the darkness of this negative content, Christian radio and video shines as a beacon of hope and encouragement” “Faith Radio is honored to harness the power of the media and use it in a way that is Gospel-saturated and Christ-honoring. We do this through our radio ministry,” he said. , our social media profiles, our YouTube channel, our website, our blogs and the ministry magazine, a free magazine that we send out four times a year to over 8,000 people.

The successful 2021 edition of the tournament followed tough COVID restrictions in place in 2020. “Fortunately, we have had another great year meeting our needs as a non-profit organization that does not sell advertising , bringing in enough to provide over 22 days of operations for our network of stations because it costs over $2,000 a day,” he said.

Tournament sponsors include Mister Ben’s Auto Spa Express, Baptist Health, Bear Brothers Incorporated – Rush Stallings, Bishop Cabinets, Climate Control Equipment, Dr. Larry Epperson, Pigg Enterprises, Servpro of Montgomery and many more. Beautiful Wynlakes provides the perfect setting for a day of golf, food and fellowship in Christ.

“We are so grateful to partner with Wynlakes for this event as they have a prime location and the service from their staff and catering team is exceptional,” said Irvin. “Another unique thing about our golf tournament that our attendees really enjoy is how we use the fabulous Wynlakes Ballroom for our luncheon, trophy presentations, awards and prizes. Last year we offered six overnight stays, including golf retreats and beach excursions, as well as a Blackstone hot plate.

Irvin said Wynlakes serves breakfast, lunch and snack, and the special ham and cheese cookies are always a hit in the afternoon. “Of course, our flagship product is the Conecuh sausage which we cook on the course all day. There’s nothing like a Conecuh dog to help you with your game of golf,” he said.
