NYF Advertising Awards, The Female Quotient, Association of National Advertisers



The SeeHer Lens Award will recognize the best in-class creative films that illustrate gender equality and specific portrayals of women / girls in advertising.

New York Festivals International Advertising Award®, The Female Quotient (The FQ) and the ANA have teamed up to launch a new special award, the NYFA “SeeHer Lens” 2021 award. This new award will recognize the best creative films in their category submitted to the 2021 competition that illustrate the gender equality and accurate representations of women and girls in advertising.

SeeHer is a collective of marketers, media organizations, and industry influencers who are committed to creating advertising and supporting content that showcases women and girls as they really are. The ANA in partnership with The Female Quotient was launched in June 2016 in Washing DC at the White House. The “SeeHerLens” award is the latest joint ANA and FQ announcement, demonstrating the united commitment to the SeeHer movement.

Nominations for New York Festivals films will be reviewed by over 100 members of the New York Festivals Jury. They will judge all applications using the SeeHer Gender Equality Measure (GEM®), the global industry standard for measuring gender bias (total and multicultural) in advertisements and programs. GEM® is used in 14 major markets around the world, accounting for 87% of total global ad spend, to create unbiased ads, content, media buy and media plans.
