Mountain Grove man arrested for domestic assault


Houston, Missouri – On September 16, 2021, Texas County MPs responded to County Line Road in the Mountain Grove area with a report of domestic unrest. MPs contacted a male subject driving a vehicle on the county road. The man later identified as Kaleb Smith said his partner fled into the woods. MPs located the woman who reported Smith bit her shoulder, tackled her and dragged her down the road while punching her in the face, back and head. The deputies observed marks and injuries on the woman according to the report.

Kaleb D. Smith, 19, from Mountain Grove, MO was arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail. Smith was charged with domestic assault 2sd graduation from Texas County Attorney Parke Stevens. Smith was held in the Texas County Jail pending bail of $ 250,000.
