Local First Responders Learn New Rescue Skills Through FREE National Auto Body Council Ozark Radio News


West Plains, Missouri – More than 35 first responders from West Plains and surrounding areas recently gathered for a hands-on demonstration of the latest emergency vehicle extrication techniques, preparing them to provide the best response to auto accident victims in West Plains, while this is thanks to the National Auto Body Council ® FREE â„¢, CARSTAR Gobel’s Collsion, Allstate Insurance and Genesis Rescue Systems.

When drivers in West Plains and surrounding areas have an accident, they rely on the first
responders are there to help them get to safety. And when driving a late model vehicle with lots of airbags, advanced technology, or electric / hybrid motors, rescue can be more difficult.

NABC® Ffirst of all Ranswering machine Eemergency EThe xtrication (FREE ™) program helps first responders stay abreast of rapid changes in vehicle design, including high-strength steel, airbags, advanced restraint systems and in-vehicle technology. Alternative fuel systems found in electric and hybrid vehicles present new challenges for first responders at the scene of the accident.

CARSTAR Gobel’s Collsion at 1631 Old Airport Road, West Plains, MO hosted first responders from the West Plains Fire Department on December 4, 2021 during a special NABC FREE â„¢ training program recently to help ensure that drivers of West Plains MO have the best prepared response in the event of an accident.

Allstate Insurance provided the vehicles and Genesis Rescue Systems provided the classroom training and the extrication demonstration.
