We’re just weeks away from the start of the NHL preseason and that means the boys have a lot to say on today’s episode of Oilersnation Radio. On today’s show, we talked about the Oilers Hall of Fame, Jake Virtanen rumors and more.
To kick off this week’s podcast, we started by taking a look at the Oilers’ Ring of Honor and specifically who we would choose as the first overall selection to honor. While there’s no doubt the Oilers have plenty of worthy options, it will be fascinating to see who gets named as part of the first class and what the reaction will be. From there, we took a look at the Jake Virtanen rumors that have popped up a bit and whether it makes sense for the Oilers to be interested. As you will hear, none of us really understand why Edmonton would be interested given the current cap and depth situation. Simply put, we all thought there were probably better options to bring in to beef up the depth chart. Finally, we ended this week’s podcast with another round of performers from Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold.
