Gabby Petito’s father calls Laundrie family “cowards”
During an interview on Dr. Phil McGraw’s show, Gabby Petito’s family said they hoped Brian Laundrie would be found alive.
Ms Petito’s father, Joseph Petito, said he wanted Mr Laundrie to see inside a prison cell for the rest of his life. Mr. Laundrie was not charged in Ms. Petito’s death.
Police activity at the Carlton reserve resumed after several days of scant searches. Mr. Laundrie is said to have hiked the reserve on September 13 and has been missing since.
A former FBI agent suggested Mr. Laundrie was still in contact with his parents through their family attorney.
When asked if she thought the missing 23-year-old had contact with his family, Jennifer Coffindaffer told a Nation News Now reporter: “Yes… although very vaguely through the lawyer. “
Ms Coffindaffer, who worked for the FBI for over 20 years, added, “He has attorney-client privilege, as long as he does nothing to promote the crime.”
In a separate interview on Dr Phil McGraw’s show, Richard Stafford, the attorney representing the Petito family, claimed that Mr Laundrie stole his girlfriend Ms Petito’s credit card and used it after the have left in Wyoming. The claim came during an interview also featuring Ms Petito’s family.
Mr. Laundrie’s sister Cassie Laundrie urged her brother to come forward to “get us out of this horrible mess.”
Speaking on ABC News in an exclusive interview broadcast on Hello america she said, “I would tell my brother to come forward and get us out of this horrible mess.”
The Palm Beach County State Attorney in Florida said more serious criminal charges against Ms Petito’s missing boyfriend were “extremely likely” if he was found alive.
David Aronberg defended his office for not laying charges against Mr Laundrie, saying “prosecutors have a greater burden to prove cases beyond a reasonable doubt”, but said he believed that other charges were “to come”.
Brian Laundrie’s dad to join Carlton Reserve search, lawyer says
Steven Bertolino, the lawyer representing Brian Laundrie’s parents, revealed Wednesday that Father Chris Laundrie “has been invited to assist law enforcement in their search” for his son at Carlton Reserve.
He added, “Since the reserve was closed to the public, Chris hasn’t been able to look for Brian in the one place Chris and Roberta think Brian might be.”
Josh Taylor, the chief spokesperson for the North Port Police Department, said Fox News that his ministry was not involved in the father’s request for involvement.
He said: “In no world would we be the agency asking the family to help with research into an FBI investigation.”
Bertolino later clarified that the request was “possibly” from an “FBI liaison”.

Gabby Petito’s mother ‘angry’ after listening to 911 call
Gabby Petito’s mother described the moment she first heard a call to 911 in which an eyewitness described seeing Brian Laundrie slap his daughter days before her disappearance.
Nichole Schmidt told Dr Phil that she was angry and confused as to why nothing was done to help her daughter when police stopped the couple’s van near Moab, Utah on the 12th. August.
“I was angry because it didn’t make sense,” Ms. Schmidt said.
Bodycam footage shows Ms Petito telling officers how Mr Laundrie repeatedly told her to “shut up” and then grabbed her by the face, leaving her with scratches on her cheeks.

Gabby Petito’s parents say they want Brian Laundrie “to be in a jail cell for the rest of his life”
Gabby Petito’s parents say they want Brian Laundrie found alive so he can spend the rest of his life locked in a “concrete cell”.
The Petito family are convinced that Mr. Laundrie is still alive and have called him a “coward” for not turning into authorities.
In the second part of their interview with Dr Phil, which aired on CBS on Wednesday afternoon, Ms Petito’s mother Nichole Schmidt said she wanted to face the 23-year-old missing.

The Gaby Petito Foundation organizes its first fundraiser
The foundation created by Gabby Petito’s parents to help the families of missing persons announced that its first fundraiser will be held in New York in October.
The Gabby Petito Foundation announced on its website that the October 17 event will take place at a concert hall in Patchogue, Long Island.
From 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, the event will feature live music, food and drink at the service of its guests. mission to meet the needs of organizations that support the location of missing persons and to provide assistance to organizations that help victims of domestic violence situations, through education, awareness and prevention strategies.

Laundry neighbors charge media $ 3,500 to display on lawn, report says
As the national media traveled to the Florida suburb where Brian Laudrie’s family lives, their neighbors reportedly found a way to quickly cash in on the tragedy.
TMZ reports that some in the neighborhood are charging up to $ 3,500 per week to allow news crews to set up their mobile broadcast hubs.
Police had previously banned media from parking on the street near Laundrie’s house.

FBI investigating 11 sightings along the AppalachianTrail, says ‘99.9 for sure’ hiker saw Brian Laundrie
The hiker who said on September 11 that he was almost 100% sure he had met Brian Laundrie near the North Carolina-Tennessee border has been questioned by the FBI, according to the Daily Mail.
Dennis Davis told the outlet he was questioned by investigators on Wednesday afternoon, adding that FBI agents told him they were following 11 sightings of locals in the same area.
“They definitely take my information seriously,” he said.
During the 9-11 call, Davis said the man believed to be Laundrie was driving a white Ford truck, flashing his lights and giving up on slowing down.
He told the operator the man was “talking wildly” asking him for directions to California, where he was to go see a girlfriend who loved him.
“He was acting fun. And I wasn’t sure what he looked like. And then I went to park and got the pictures of him back and I’m 99.9% sure it was him, ”Davis said.

Man’s body found near Gabby Petito’s body committed suicide, crown says
The missing hiker found near Gabby Petito’s body in September committed suicide, according to the Teton County coroner.
Robert Lowery, a 46-year-old father of two, was discovered after widespread media coverage of Petito’s search that drew attention to the missing man’s case, officials said. Fox News.
The same coroner ruled that Petito’s death was homicide, but the cause of death was not announced.

Petito family lawyer claims Brian Laundrie “stole” his credit card
Richard Stafford, the attorney representing Gabby Petito’s family, told Dr Phil in an interview on Tuesday that Brian Laundrie “stole” his credit card and used it after he left it in Wyoming.
